First fall ball baseball game
Landen had his first fall ball baseball game this past weekend. He was so ready to get back into baseball. We had SO many days of rain and everything had been cancelled. He was going bonkers stuck in the house.
They played really well and won the game.
Looking forward to a great season!

Fun at the Fair!
With Landen being in half day Kindergarten and Maddie going to preschool in the morning, we were still able to get to the fair for preschool pals day. We always have lots of fun. The parents get in free with a preschooler and the ride band is discounted from 20 dollars to 8 dollars! Can’t beat that!
We let the kids get their faces painted this year. They loved it!
That’s it for the fair for another year!

Maddie starts pre-k
Now, we all know Landen has seperation issues, and has for his whole life, but Maddie on the other hand, is NOT like that at all. I was SURE that she was going to march into that classroom without even looking back. Here are some shots before we left for school the first morning…
(she had to start a day late because she had a bad cold and woke up the morning of her first day coughing so bad she puked and saying her ear hurt, so we ended up at the dr and sure enough, she had an ear infection, so she missed her “first” day)
We were getting all packed up and she said, “I’ll go get in the stroller” I reminded her that we were not going to Landen’s school and we had to drive and she lost it. She was sobbing and saying that she HAS to be close to Bubba. She can’t go to school far away from him. I finally got her calmed down and reminded her that he will be coming with me to pick her up and she seemed ok. We got in the building, I hung up her bag and stepped back to take a picture and this is what I saw.
Talk about break a Mom’s heart! OMG. I think it was harder for me with her because I didn’t expect it at all. By the time we got to the room, she was crying really hard and begging me not to leave. When I picked her up, she would not talk about her day at all. She said she does not want to go to that baby school, she is NOT playing with those kids and she just wants to stay home with me or go to school with Bubba. I hope it gets better fast!

Our Big Kindergartner …
Aug 30th was the first day of school for Landen. He was excited but a little apprehensive. I was waiting for it to be really bad with everything going on and just the way he is with separation, but he held it together and didn’t cry on the first day.
This was right before we took him into his room. I can’t believe he squeezed out a half smile. He was so nervous!
This is right after school ….
He had a great first day and now … 3 weeks into school … he is waiting by the door telling ME to hurry up, he’s ready to go to school. Mind you, his class STARTS at 7:45am! We live close to the school, so we leave around 7:35 to walk him up there.
