Hanging out at the cabin

Last weekend, we were supposed to get together to play with Logan and McKenna and Dad said why don't we see if they want to go spend the weekend at the cabin. So he made a phone call and the next day we packed up and headed up to Huntington county. We had so much fun! It was FRRRREEEZING when we got up there, Dad and Ryan immediately got the fire and space heaters going to warm it up. By the time we arrived, it was almost bedtime, but we were ready to go play! We got to stay up late the first night! Here we are the next morning, eating breakfast.

Once we all got dressed, we headed out to play in the snow. Aunt Lynn had given Maddie and I "sno crayons" to write in the snow with. Since we haven't had many measurable snows yet this year, Mom decided to bring them along to the mountains. They were a big hit. We used them all up in about 15 minutes!

The guys (Dad, Ryan, me and Logan) headed down to the frozen creek once the girls got too cold and went inside the cabin. We had fun (trying) to walk on the ice. We ended up playing ice hockey with a beer can and we took turns sliding across the creek on our butts. Then we headed back in to get warm. My cheeks were so red, Mom didn't think they would ever get back to their normal color. We have some cool video from the creek, when Mom gets time, she'll try to post it.

Here we are eating lunch. We were hungry and tired when we got back.

Maddie was napping when we got back, and then when we laid down, she woke up. Dad took her out for some fun in the snow too...

She LOVED riding in the sled.

This is one of the best parts of being in the great oudoors! Peeing contests!

Sunday we went back down to the frozen creek so that Maddie and McKenna could play. Maddie loved being on the ice. She fell about as much as I did. She laughed and laughed.

This was so much fun! Dad would push me across the ice and I would go really far on my butt

Mom finally got us to pose for a picture!

We can hardly wait to do this again!
