Our Christmas 2009

I figured I better get this post in because today is the last day of 2009!

We had a very busy Christmas week. It started on Monday, after the snow over the weekend, everything was delayed on Monday. Mom had our schedule timed just right for a normal day, so the school delay messed everything up. She was to be at 2 places at the same time twice that day. So uncle Brian helped her out by picking me up from school and bringing me home and then he stayed with us while we napped so mom could get to the store. Gizmo and Maddie both had haircuts that day and I had school and my last basketball "game."

Tuesday was my Christmas program at school which went really well. You can check out the videos ...

part 2

We had cookies and juice after the program ...

Tuesday night, Mom got sick with the "throw up bug" as we like to call it here. She was in bed all day Wednesday which meant Dad had to take off work and do all the daily duties! I had a pizza party at school which Mom was supposed to help at, but she didn't get to come. We had a great day with Dad and we even did laundry and cleaned up!!!

Wednesday (Christmas eve) was a better day for Mom and Dad decided to stay home that day as well since he would only be going in to work for a few hours anyway. So we hung out at home until time to go to Great Grandma and Grandpa Eyster's house to celebrate Christmas. Once we got there, Dad started to not feel so great and we ended up having to leave early, but we did get to hang out for a little while and eat and open gifts ...

We had matching outfits again this year.

I LOVE to make crushed ice with Great Grandpa Eyster!!

As you could probably guess, Dad was sick with the "throw up bug" when we got home so we had to do Santa's cookies and milk without him ...

and here I am with the reindeer food we made at school ...

Here we are singing Happy Birthday to Jesus and I'm trying my best to get to eat a cookie before bed. (Mom did let us each have one of Santa's cookies ...shhhhh!)

Dad was still feeling bad on Christmas morning, so he laid on the couch and watched us open our gifts. Mom didn't get very many pictures because she was trying to videotape us. Here are some from a little later in the morning when we were playing with all of our gifts ...

Since we couldn't have Christmas dinner at our house like we had planned, and we couldn't go anywhere because we didn't want to spread our germs, Uncle Brian brought our lunch to us and this is how he showed up!!

By Saturday afternoon, Dad was feeling well enough to go visit with some family. We went to Aunt Jeanette's for the Kessler family Christmas. We had a great lunch and some play time with Logan and Mckenna

After we left there, we went to Nanny's to celebrate Christmas with them.

Maddie got a cinderella dress, crown, and earrings. She spent the rest of the evening and most of the following days in her dress.

I got a leapster 2 and games ... my Vsmile is no longer working and we can't figure out why ...

So all in all, we had a good Christmas. We missed out on some family time with everyone, but it was kinda nice to spend Christmas day in our pj's just playing with all of our new stuff and hanging out with Mom. Thankfully we're all well now and we're going to celebrate the new year!!!
