Camping

We got our camper out for the first time this year over the weekend.  We just went to the campground only a few miles from our house.  It’s nice to go there the first time you go out for the year because if you forget anything, you are still really close to home.  We had a great time and other than the 30 plus mile an hour winds, the weather was pretty good.  It’s amazing what a difference a year makes.  Saturday night was pretty cold, especially with the wind, so we couldn’t really hang out around the campfire, so we headed into the camper.  The kids were so worn out from Friday night and they wanted to just hang out in the camper and watch a movie.  Normally we just let them watch the one in the “living room” part of the camper, but this time we were able to put the DVD player in their “room” and they watched the movie in their beds.  We were actually able to watch our tv shows in the living room while our kids were perfectly content in the “bedroom.”  We didn’t have to worry that Maddie would fall out of her bed and there was no fussing with a high chair, or baby food, it was actually the FIRST semi-relaxing camping trip we’ve taken since we had kids!!   I’m really excited to go again!  Here’s some pics from the weekend.

This was right after we got back to the campsite.IMG_4005

Here’s Landen standing in the middle of the camper up on the battery box so that Jake can line up the ball and hitch to hook up.  He loved helping …
