Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted – sorry! We’ve been pretty busy. Landen is now into tball games instead of practice, I’ve started working a part time job in the evenings, cleaning at a local church (which is going really well and the flexibility and hours suit us wonderfully because I don’t go in to work until after Jake gets home!)
We went camping last weekend again and Landen came home with a nasty cough. I took him to the dr because I didn’t like the way he was breathing and they ended up having to do a breathing treatment in the office and sent us home with an inhaler to use saying that he has allergy induced asthma.
Maddie had a tick in her hair almost 2 weeks ago and they told me if she developed fever/flu like symptoms in 7 to 10 days, to call in and they would want to test her for lyme … whatdoya know, she started feeling crappy and running a fever, so off to the dr we went with her. They felt it wasn’t lyme, just a virus, but sent us home with a lab slip to get the blood work done just in case, but we were to wait a few days to see if she improved. Well, last night, we found the tell-tale bulls eye rash where the tick was and a lump on the back of her head so I called the dr on call who said the lump is likely a swollen lymph node and he called in a script for 21 days of antibiotics … which surely will cause havoc on her little tummy. We are still to take her for the blood test to be sure she does have it before she is on the meds for so long, but we are starting the treatment now and will stop if need be.
Landen’s school year is coming to an end and he has his last day on Wednesday with graduation on Thursday. The kids have also been asked to be on the cover of a local magazine (Central Penn Parent) as their birthday July issue. We will be meeting with the photographer and editor after his graduation on Thursday to shoot the pics. So this coming week is a pretty full one too!
We are getting ready to go to a picnic here in a few minutes, so I will go now and leave you with some pics from the last few weeks …

Maddie was in love with the bride and the bridesmaids. She kept waving to them and thought they were princesses. She cried and cried because she didn’t catch the flowers that Laura threw.
