Landen had his graduation ceremony on June 3rd. It was very cute. They sang a bunch of songs and released the butterflies they had grown from caterpillars. He has made alot of great friends the last two years, but now most of them are moving on into Kindergarten. We made the decision to hold Landen off a year even though his birthday falls within the school district’s guidelines. He still has alot of apprehension when things are different especially if we are not there. He has improved immensely but the extra year will help him even more we think. He could also use some more practice with handwriting and cutting with scissors. He is left handed and looks REALLY funny when he’s trying to cut something! We received his progress report for the end of the year and there were nothing but good things on it. We are so proud of him! His teacher left this in the comment section:
Landen is a true class leader. Landen continues to work well with everyone and helps classmates who are struggling. Landen knows his letters, numbers and basic sight words. Landen follows all class rules and accepts challenges with ease. Landen will be an asset to his class next year.
Here are some pics. I am uploading the video from the ceremony to our you tube page. Once it is done, I will place a link here, but I will warn you, it’s pretty long!
Singing “What a mighty God we serve”
- funny story: when he first came home singing this song, he was saying “What a mighty dog we serve!”

Releasing the butterflies …
He made such good friends and I made some awesome Mommy friends too. We are going to miss seeing them every day next year.
