Fun with cousins

This weekend, the kids had a blast. Friday night Logan and Mckenna came over to paint Easter eggs!

Then Jake decided to throw one of the eggs to Landen and it was so funny, he would make these faces each time like he was waiting for it to crack and go all over him! He caught it a ton of times before he squeezed too hard and it cracked a little bit.

Then Saturday, we were at Mom’s while they were working on getting the ground ready for grass seed up at Dad’s new shop. Logan and Mckenna came there too because Ryan was helping Dad. The kids played in the dirt some and spent some time in the woods. Landen hung out in this tree for the longest time, talking to Brian.

Maddie wanted up, but got a little scared once Brian got her up there.

Logan and Mckenna then came to spend the night. This was the kids’ first sleepover! They had a lot of fun and the giggling didn’t stop until well past 10pm. I really thought Maddie would have trouble since she’s used to sleeping in her crib and really NEVER sleeps anywhere else, but she did really good. When I went up to tell them it was time to quiet down, she asked if she could sleep in Bubba’s bed so I put her in there and covered her up and she was out in like 5 minutes and slept all night. Jake thinks we should get her a big girl bed, but I’m still not ready. She has a mind of her own and consequences really don’t bother her, so I’m really afraid we will have a hard time keeping her in her bed and with the kids sharing a room, that could be really BAD! So until she tries to climb out, we will just keep it the way it is!
